Come learn about a new high school being built in Hillsborough County Public Schools

Our district is building a new high school in South County, which is set to open in August 2020.

David Brown, the former principal of Strawberry Crest, was recently appointed principal and now we need to name the campus. 

Easy Bay High School and Lennard High School have kindly offered to host a community meeting at their schools this week and next. Those who attend will meet Principal Brown, learn about the programs that will be implemented at the school, meet the design professionals, ask questions and provide school name and mascot recommendations. 

David Brown shared his excitement about opening this high school— which will be the largest high school in Hillsborough County Public Schools.

“I’m very excited to be on the ground floor, implementing new programs and being down here where we can help our other schools alleviate overcrowding. I am also looking forward to starting new traditions with my students and staff,” said Principal Brown.

The School Board will review and vote on all qualified name suggestions at the upcoming School Board meeting on Tuesday, October 15th.
