Students at Dowdell Middle Magnet School spent an exciting day exploring STEM careers with local industry leaders as they participated in hands-on, interactive activities.
In partnership with The Mosaic Company Foundation and the Hillsborough Education Foundation,
students welcomed a new tool from EVERFI, Inc. to help students with problem-based learning and career awareness.
Students participated in rapid protoyping with the Windy Tower Challenge, where they built a paper tower to stand up to wind and other elements. The challenge allowed students to tackle career-based roles to solve a building and engineering problem.
The Mosaic Company foundation Endeavor program powered by social impact education innovator EVERFI, Inc., provides STEM experiences to middle school students by connecting course content to real-world opportunities in hopes of increasing student interest.
