King Robotics Wins Inspire Award!

March 12, 2020 - Student Success

King High School’s FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team has plenty to celebrate as they recently received the Inspire Award at the Florida State FTC Championships!

The Inspire Award is given to the team that best embodies the ‘challenge’ of the FIRST Tech Challenge program—inspiring other teams by their gracious professionalism both on and off the playing field. In addition to being a gracious competitor, the team that receives this award is a top contender for many other judged awards.

King High’s team, known as the Hadron Knights, was recognized for sharing their experiences, enthusiasm, and knowledge with other teams, sponsors, their community and the judges. They showed success as a team when they designed and built a consistently “high-performance” Robot.

Out of the 60 schools that competed in the state competition, seven qualified to represent Florida at the FIRST World Championships in Houston on April 14-18.
