We celebrate the Y.E.S. (You Empower Students) in Hillsborough Schools

Volunteers and community partners are saying “Y.E.S.” every day to empower students with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to prepare students for life.

We usually celebrate with our schools, students, families and community volunteers with an evening award ceremony. Since social distancing rules are making that impossible this year, our Volunteer Services Department has put together a special presentation that can be viewed from the comfort of your own home.

Please take a moment to enjoy this virtual celebration of the finest volunteers, organizations and programs in Hillsborough County:

Congratulations to our 2019-20 award winners! Thank you to our presenting sponsor of 20 years, Suncoast Credit Union and the more than 47,000 volunteers and community partners for giving your time, talents and treasure to support our students in Hillsborough Schools.

Each of the 129 nominees will receive a certificate and lapel pin and the 13 Award winners in eight different categories will receive a trophy for their dedication and a recognition brick that will be placed at Nature’s Classroom.

“This is a great opportunity to thank our volunteer award winners. There is no doubt that Hillsborough Schools would not be able to function as well as we do without the support of our volunteers and community partners,” said Addison Davis, Superintendent of Hillsborough Schools.
