STEAM for all

2362_image_2.jpg

"STEAM for all” is a philosophy we value at M.I.T., the Monroe Institute of Technology. Through purposeful planning, students embrace Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics in all classes. We build tech know-how by providing every student with a computer or tablet. The highlight of our Electives is our Modeling and Simulation program, the first of its kind in Hillsborough Schools, where students get a head start on the computer skills that will power the 21st century. Our rigorous Scholar Quest high school credit courses challenge our students in a range of subjects. Classmates connect through our many sports teams and clubs, such as LEGO Mindstorms, EV3 Robotics and STEM Guitar Building. Our Sixth Grade Structure creates a supportive transition into middle school, starting with Fifth Grade STEAM Day, where students experience a day in the life of a sixth grader and feel at home in our tech-focused learning community.

Scholar Quest

Scholar Quest engages students in accelerated courses, featuring advanced academics and unique future-focused career learning opportunities. Courses often allow students to receive high school credits.

Electives

Sample several fascinating subjects as a 6th grade student before taking a deeper dive into the fields that interest and inspire you most in 7th and 8th grades.
